Extent of Purdue freshman Daniel Jacobsen's leg injury not yet fully known
Purdue freshman center Daniel Jacobsen will undergo more tests Sunday to determine the extent of the right leg injury he suffered one minute into the Boilermakers’ Friday night win over Northern Kentucky.
The 7-foot-4 rookie underwent an initial scan Saturday. The Boilermakers’ starting center did not injure his knee or ankle, according to Purdue.

While it remains to be seen how long Jacobsen will be sidelined, it will be without him in the short term, at minimum, putting the onus on sophomore Will Berg, freshman Raleigh Burgess and senior Caleb Furst to fill a void. The possibility exists, too, that Trey Kaufman-Renn could move inside at times.
Jacobsen, far and away Purdue’s best-equipped shot-blocker, scored 13 points with seven rebounds and three blocks in his debut against Texas A&M-Corpus Christi Monday night.
