Georgia CB Nyland Green commits to Purdue

Purdue scored a big portal commitment today from Georgia CB Nyland Green. He is the first cornerback to commit to the Boilermakers. Green will have two years of eligibility.
The 6-1, 185-pound Green tabbed Purdue over Pitt, while also considering North Carolina and Arkansas. He is Purdue’s 10th portal commitment and second player from Georgia, joining OLB C.J. Madden.

Green is one of the top corners in the portal. He played as a reserve in all 13 games for the Bulldogs last season, making seven tackles and one PBU. In three seasons as a Bulldog, he played in 24 games, made 12 tackles and won two national titles.
Green played at Covington (Ga.) Newton High, where he was a four-star cornerback. He was the No. 50 overall prospect and No. 3 CB in the 2021 cycle, according to the On3 Industry Ranking, a weighted average that utilizes all four major recruiting media companies.
