Back on the road for the second straight week, as Purdue’s tries to put a positive statement on the season with what would be a shocking upset of Indiana. Saturday night, Indiana

Our GoldandBlack.com staff predictions …

MIKE CARMIN, CONTRIBUTOR

Overall Thought: The final data point of the 2024 season has arrived, but what’s left to evaluate? As the 2025 recruiting class dwindles, how many players on the current roster are prepared to enter the portal? And if this game goes as expected, what’s next for the program?

*The* Key To The Game: One final chance to start fast.

Your Pick To Click (offense): Max Klare. A bunch of targets are coming his way.

Your Pick To Click (defense): Will Heldt. Go make some plays.

Spiciest Take:  No clock management issues from the sidelines.

Predicted Score: Indiana 47, Purdue 15

Overall Thought: Thought? This is it, Purdue’s last chance to sip from the cup of victory and end a 10-game losing skid.

*The* Key To The Game: How about starting fast for once?

Your Pick To Click (offense): QB Hudson Card. Like last week, he needs to throw for 300 yards again for Purdue to have any chance.

Your Pick To Click (defense): ILB Hudson Miller. The underrated, ovelooked and plucky Miller will make double-digit tackles.

Spiciest Take: Purdue will out score IU in the first quarter.

Predicted Score: Indiana 41, Purdue 20

Overall Thought: I keep looking for ways this game is competitive in the second half. Maybe the frigiid temperatures helps somewhat.

*The* Key To The Game: A repeat from the entire season—but Purdue must start fast to be competitive. Of course, i wrote that last week, and once again I was wrong.

Your Pick To Click (offense): QB Hudson Card. The weather may indicate the need to run the ball, but Purdue’s lone help is gaining chunk yardage trough the air.

Your Pick To Click (defense): DB Dillion Thieneman will finally get his first interception of the season.

Predicted Score: Indiana 34, Purdue 17

JORDAN JONES, CONTRIBUTOR

Overall Thought: One of the most disappointing seasons in the history of Boilermaker football comes to an end. While the game is played on Saturday, all eyes are on Sunday. What’s next for the Purdue program?

*The* Key To The Game: Start fast. Take Indiana’s sell-out crowd out of the game.

Your Pick To Click (offense): Hudson Card, who deserved better than he’s gotten over the past two years.

Your Pick To Click (defense): Dillon Thieneman. These games tend to mean a lot for kids from the state, especially one who grew up on this rivalry.

Spiciest Take: Purdue scores a touchdown on its opening drive on a trick play.

Predicted Score: Indiana 42, Purdue 14
