GoldandBlack.com Saturday Simulcast: Purdue FB recruiting and more
Purdue football recruiting and portal talk in our May 4 edition of Saturday Simulcast with On3.com VP Steve Wiltfong and GoldandBlack.com’s Tom Dienhart.
Wiltfong talks with Purdue target
Indianapolis (Ind.) Lawrence Central tight end Nizyi Davis tells On3 he has four official visits locked in.
Wisconsin is set for May 31. Louisville is on the calendar for June 7. Kansas will get the third official on June 14. Purdue is locked in for June 21.
The On3 Industry tabs Davis as the nation’s No. 42 tight end. He is a long, smooth pass catcher with a big catch radius. There is a lot of upside here.
The early favorite
The Badgers offered last fall in September and heading into summer are setting the pace in this recruitment.
“I love the city,” Davis said. “They show me their facility and everything I like the way they practice.”
Tight ends coach Nate Letton is leading the charge in recruiting Davis.
“The relationship,” Davis said. “I feel like they’re real serious about the relationship and they care about me.”
