First-year Purdue football coach Barry Odom addressed the media for just over 30 minutes with an overview of his 40-member National Signing Day class which included 11 high school signees.
The incoming class features players from 19 different states as well as two from Canada. In total, there are 19 defensive players20 offensive players and a punter. All 29 transfers, in addition to six high school signees have alread arrived on campus to the join the team for spring practice which begins March 4.
According to the Purdue release, the transfer class comprises 15 seniors, three juniors, five sophomores and six redshirt freshmen. Seven transfers matriculated to West Lafayette from UNLV.
