Purdue 2025 schedule set

Myriad challenges loom on 2025 schedule, with games vs. USC, Notre Dame, Michigan, Ohio State and Washington on the menu.

On Wednesday, the school released its full slate of games for Barry Odom’s maiden voyage as coach.

Purdue Schedule Notes

• Seven home games are on the docket, including playing in Ross-Ade the first three weeks

• The Odom era by hosting Ball State, facing the Cardinals for the first time since 2010

• This will be just the second meeting between Purdue and FCS Southern Illinois. The other was in 2014

• The Gold and Black open Big Ten play by taking on USC in Ross-Ade for the first time since 1976. The Boilermakers and the Trojans have played four times, starting with Purdue’s 14-13 victory in the 1967 Rose Bowl. The schools last met in the 1998 season opener, with USC taking a 27-17 victory in Los Angeles in what was Drew Brees’ first career start

• Purdue faces the Buckeyes for the third straight season

• Purdue has played at Washington fives in program history starting with a 13-6 win in 1961. The last trip to Seattle was in 1989, a 38-9 Purdue loss. The teams last met in the 2002 Sun Bowl, a 34-24 Boiler win

• Purdue and Indiana each have a bye week before the Bucket game

• Purdue has two byes: Sept. 27 and Nov. 22
