Purdue got a commitment from junior college offensive tackle Issiah Walker in January. Now, he won’t be enrolling this spring, as was expected.

Walker told GoldandBlack.com on Sunday that he will be returning to Butler County Community College in Kansas. He says he has to tend to some academic work. Plus, the loss of offensive line coach Matt Mattox, who departed the staff for personal reasons prior to spring ball after recruiting Walker to West Lafayette, played a factor in his decision.

Purdue has seen three other o-line leave this offseason via the portal: Spencer Holstege, Sione Finau and Eric Miller. Purdue has added two portal offensive linemen: Jalen Grant and Ben Farrell.
