Points After: Purdue's loss to Penn State
Another week, another one-sided loss to an elite team, as fourth-ranked Penn State drove the Boilermakers’ losing streak to nine games Saturday, 49-10.
It was more of the same, as the Nittany Lions had few issues against Purdue’s woebegone defense, jumping out to a quick 14-0 lead before leading 21-3 at half. Penn State tight end Tyler Warren caught seven passes for 119 yards and a TD in the first half alone. He then ran for a 48-yard score in the third as Penn State cruised in the second half. Drew Allar completed 17-of-19 passes.

A few quick takeaways …
• Purdue is just overmatched by these teams. That’s not news, but Purdue’s offensive production was whatever Penn State allowed it to be, truthfully, and as long as they’re not scoring, opponents aren’t worry about yardage …

Pitt-Clemson officiating draws outrage
• … especially as Purdue fields what has to be the worst Power 4 defense in America. The Boilermakers’ inability to just stop opponents’ basic stuff make them an absolute sitting duck against counter punches, misdirection, whatever.
• In a season full of embarrassments, De’Nylon Morrissette catching a touchdown pass, wide open, but with two feet out of bounds, straddling the pylon, took the cake.
