Purdue has added another piece to an overhauled offensive line with the addition of Colorado transfer Austin Johnson from the portal, GoldandBlack.com has confirmed.
Johnson has two years of eligibility.
Johnson is the sixth offensive line transfer Purdue has added this offseason, joining Bowling Green’s Jalen Grant, Missouri’s Luke Griffin, Indiana Wesleyan’s Ben Farrell, Lawrence Tech’s Bakyne Coly and UNLV’s Preston Nichols.
Johnson arrived in Boulder in 2019, when he redshirted. In four seasons with the Buffaloes, the 6-4, 300-pound product of Highlands Ranch (Colo.) High played in 20 games and made seven starts. Johnson saw action in 10 games last season for Colorado.
Johnson is the 19th player overall the Boilermakers have added from the portal this offseason.
