Purdue adds commitment from 2024 Texas three-star OLB Jaylin Jones
Purdue continues to add to its Class of 2024, netting a commitment on Monday from outside linebacker Jaylin Jones.
The three-star recruit from West Brook High in Beaumont, Texas, picked the Boilermakers over Texas Tech, Duke, SMU, Utah, Houston, Baylor and others. Jones is the first linebacker in the 2024 class and the fifth player from Texas, which leads all states among Boilermaker commitments.

The 6-5, 210-pound Jones took an official visit to West Lafayette in June. He is the 21st commitment in Purdue’s 2024 class and the first in August.
According to the On3 Industry Ranking, a weighted average that utilizes all four major recruiting media companies, Jones ranks as the No. 47 overall EDGE prospect in the country and No. 125 overall prospect in Texas. On3 has him as the No. 44 overall EDGE prospect in America and No. 93 overall prospect in Texas.
