Purdue has added another player to its Class of 2025, netting a commitment from Dawayne Galloway on Friday. He is one of Purdue’s biggest commitments thus far in the class.
A 6-2, 175-pound product of Franklin High in Columbus, Ohio, Galloway is the cousin of Purdue freshman tight end Tayvion Galloway.
Dawayne Galloway, a four-star recruit, had offers from West Virginia, Pitt, Kentucky and Syracuse, among others, before tabbing Purdue over Kentucky. He is a top-150 recruit and No. 7 overall prospect in Ohio, according to On3.
Galloway took an official visit to West Lafayette on June 7.
He’s the 11th commitment in Purdue’s Class of 2025 and first defensive back.
Netting Galloway takes some of the sting out of seeing Mason Alexander commit to Pitt.
