Purdue coach Barry Odom has added a player to his 2025 roster via the transfer portal: Nevada CB Chad Brown. He has one year of eligibility.

Brown is the 28th portal commitment overall for Purdue and the sixth defensive back.

The 6-2, 180-pound Brown played in 13 games with 12 starts for Nevada in 2024, making 54 tackles with one INT, seven PBUs and eight TFLs. He played in 12 games with one start in 2023, making nine stops. Brown appeared in just one game in 2022, while playing in three in 2021.

Brown transferred to UCF in 2021 but never played for the Knights, moving on to Nevada.

A native of Lawrenceville, N.J., Brown began his career in 2019 at Fresno (Calif.) City College where he spent two seasons. He attended St. Frances Academy in Baltimore.
