Purdue adds North Texas defensive end from portal

Purdue has picked up another edge rusher, adding North Texas’ Breylon Charles from the portal on Friday night.

The 6-4, 270-pound Charles tallied 30 tackles, five sacks and 16 QB hurries last season. The New Orleans native, who began his career at Lamar, will have one year of eligibility.

He’s the third portal d-lineman Purdue has added in April, joining Ian Jeffries (Arkansas State) and Marcus Moore (Bowling Green). Charles is the Boilermakers’ 13th portal commitment in April.
