Purdue adds TCU S Richard Toney from transfer portal
Purdue coach Barry Odom has added another piece to his 2025 roster with the transfer portal addition of TCU safety Richard Toney, who will have one year of eligibility.
Toney is Purdue’s 21st portal commitment overall and the third defensive back.
The 6-0, 190-pound Toney played in nine games for TCU in 2024, making nine tackles with one pass break-up as a redshirt junior.
Prior to TCU, Toney played in 12 games and started nine for Nevada during the 2023 season. In 2022 at Nevada, he appeared in seven games, recording eight tackles. Toney redshirted in 2021.
Toney played at Arlington (Texas) High.
