Purdue adds UNLV OL Preston Nichols from the portal
Purdue has added a much-needed piece to its offensive line by getting a commitment from UNLV’s Preston Nichols.
He’s the third o-lineman from the portal the Boilermakers have imported, joining Ben Farrell (Indiana Wesleyan) and Jalen Grant (Bowling Green).
The 6-2, 290-pound Nichols has one year of eligibility. He started all 12 games at left guard for the Rebels last year. Prior to playing at UNLV in 2022, Nichols appeared in 28 games with 26 starts over four seasons for FCS Charleston Southern. He’s a native of Charlotte, N.C., who played at West Mecklenburg High.
