Purdue adds UNLV OT Jalen St. John from transfer portal
Purdue coach Barry Odom has added a player to his 2025 roster via the transfer portal: UNLV OT Jalen “Chop” St. John.
A two-year starter at left tackle under Odom in Las Vegas, St. John was a second-team All-Mountain West selection this season in helping UNLV finish 11-3, reach the league title game and earn a bowl win.
He started his career at Arkansas, where he played sparingly after arriving in 2020. Odom was the DC at Arkansas from 2020-22.

St. John hails from St. Louis, where he played at Trinity Catholic, choosing the Razorbacks over Auburn, Ole Miss, Mississippi State, Nebraska and others.
St. John is the third UNLV offensive lineman–and fourth Rebel overall–to follow Odom to West Lafayette, joining Hank Purvis and Mason Vicari. St. John is Purdue’s ninth portal commitment overall.
