Source: Purdue CB Jamari Brown has left program

Purdue had one holdover cornerback from 2022. Now, it has none, as Jamari Brown has left the program and is expected to enter the transfer portal, according to a source.

Brown was expected to play a key role in the 2023 defense. He was at practice as recently as Monday.

Brown arrived at Purdue in 2021 after transferring from Kentucky. He appeared in all 13 games that season, making 11 starts with three interceptions. Last season, Brown played in all 14 games with two starts. He departs West Lafayette having made 47 tackles and 10 PBUs with three interceptions.

The other scholarships CBs on the roster this season: Marquis Wilson, Botros Alisandro, Braxton Myers, Markevious Brown, Zion Gunn, Salim Turner-Muhammad, Derrick Rogers.
