Last year, Purdue played host to Wisconsin on a Friday night, losing 38-17. It was the first time Purdue had played host to a Friday night Big Ten game. Before that, the last time Purdue played at home on a Friday night was vs. Ohio in 2017, a 44-21 win in Jeff Brohm’s first season.

The only other time Purdue played a Friday night road Big Ten game was in the COVID-addled 2020 season, when it dropped a controversial 34-31 decision at Minnesota on Nov. 20.

Purdue began the 2022 season with a Thursday night home game vs. Penn State, losing 35-31.
