Purdue G Spencer Holstege in portal
Purdue guard Spencer Holstege has entered the transfer portal, he announced on social media on Monday. The redshirt junior–a grad transfer–will have as many as two years of eligibility.
The 6-5, 310-pound Holstege has been a mainstay on the Boilermaker offensive line for three seasons. He started all 13 games this season and in 2021. Holstege also made five starts in 2020.
He will not play in the Citrus Bowl vs. LSU.
Purdue is slated to have several key offensive linemen back in 2023: center Gus Hartwig, guard Marcus Mbow and tackle Mahamane Moussa. Tackle Eric Miller also could be back for a sixth season, along with tackle Daniel Johnson and guard Sione Finau.
