Purdue hires special teams analyst from UNLV

Purdue coach Barry Odom has hired UNLV’s James Brown as a special teams analyst.

Brown was a special teams analyst at UNLV the last three seasons; Odom was UNLV head coach in 2023-24. He joined the Rebel staff in 2021 as a GA.

Brown came to Las Vegas after serving the 2020 season as special teams analyst at Eastern Kentucky.

Before that, Brown served two internships at Oregon, which followed completing two seasons as a recruiting and operations intern for the Ducks. He earned both his bachelor’s degree (2018) and master’s (2020) from Oregon.
