Ten former Purdue players suited up on NFL rosters in week two of the season. GoldandBlack.com looks at how each Boilermaker fared over the past week.

DERRICK BARNES – DETROIT LIONS

Starting at linebacker, Barnes played 45 of 48 snaps as the Lions fell 20-16 to the Buccaneers on Sunday. Barnes recorded five tackles and deflected a pass. Detroit, now 1-1, will hit the road to Arizona for a 4:25 p.m. E.T. kickoff on Sunday.

DAVID BELL – CLEVELAND BROWNS

Activated to the 53-man roster, Bell played nine snaps in the Browns’ 18-13 win over the Jaguars. In the game, Bell dislocated his hip, which will require season-ending surgery. He caught three passes for 27 yards on Sunday, which is how his 2024 season will end.

JA’WHAUN BENTLEY – NEW ENGLAND PATRIOTS

A surprise early injury limited Bentley to just ten snaps in the Patriots’ 23-20 loss to the Seahawks on Sunday. Because of the limited action, Bentley did not record any statistics. On Monday, it was revealed that Bentley suffered a torn pec and will miss the rest of the 2024 season.

PAYNE DURHAM – TAMPA BAY BUCCANEERS

Durham played 16 snaps on offense and five on special teams, but he did not record any stats in the Buccaneers 20-16 win over the Lions. Tampa Bay will return to the Sunshine State for a 1 p.m. E.T. matchup with Denver on Sunday.

CHARLIE JONES – CINCINNATI BENGALS

Jones played two snaps on offense and two on punt return as the Bengals lost 26-25 to the Chiefs. He returned a punt for nine yards in the loss. Cincinnati gets an extra day of rest as it prepares to host Washington for Monday Night Football.

RAHEEM MOSTERT – MIAMI DOLPHINS

Mostert did not play in the Dolphins’ 31-10 Thursday Night Football loss to the Bills as he dealt with a chest injury. He was ruled inactive ahead of the game. His availability for week three remains a question, as Miami will travel to Seattle for a 4:05 p.m. E.T. kickoff.
