Purdue in the Pros: Week 3
Eight former Purdue players suited up on NFL rosters in week two of the season. GoldandBlack.com looks at how each Boilermaker fared over the past week.
DERRICK BARNES – DETROIT LIONS
Barnes recorded one tackle in 11 snaps at linebacker before leaving Detroit’s 20-13 win over Arizona with a knee injury. On Monday, Lions coach Dan Campbell announced that Barnes would miss some time. It remains to be seen whether Barnes will spend time on injured reserve or not, but he will not play when Detroit hosts Seattle on Monday Night Football.
PAYNE DURHAM – TAMPA BAY BUCCANEERS
Durham played 12 snaps on offense and seven on special teams in the Buccaneers’ 26-7 loss to Denver. He did catch one pass for eight yards. Tampa Bay hosts Philadelphia at 1 p.m. E.T. on Sunday.
CHARLIE JONES – CINCINNATI BENGALS
Jones was active, but he did not record any stats in the Bengals’ surprising 38-33 loss to the Commanders on Monday night. Cincinnati, now a shocking 0-3, will look to get in the win column against Carolina at 1 p.m. E.T. on Sunday.
RAHEEM MOSTERT – MIAMI DOLPHINS
Mostert did not play in Miami’s 24-3 loss to Seattle as he missed his second consecutive game with a chest injury. He will look to get back on the field when the Dolphins host the Titans on Monday Night Football.
SANOUSSI KANE – BALTIMORE RAVENS
The rookie played 23 snaps on special teams in Baltimore’s 28-25 win over Dallas on Sunday, but he did not record any stats. The Ravens will return to action on Sunday Night Football against the Bills.

GEORGE KARLAFTIS – KANSAS CITY CHIEFS
Karlaftis started, playing 49 of 61 snaps on defense in the Chiefs’ 22-17 win over the Falcons on Sunday night. He recorded two tackles, one of which came for a loss, and pressured the quarterback twice in the victory. The Chiefs will look to continue their strong start at the Chargers in a 4:25 p.m. E.T. kickoff on Sunday.
AIDAN O’CONNELL – LAS VEGAS RAIDERS
As the lowly Panthers cruised past the Raiders 36-22, Las Vegas benched starter Gardner Minshew and O’Connell saw the final 13 snaps at quarterback. He completed nine of 12 passes for 82 yards and a touchdown. After the game, Las Vegas’ coach indicated that the starting quarterback spot could be up for grabs ahead of the Raiders’ 4:25 p.m. E.T. game against Cleveland.
TYRONE TRACY – NEW YORK GIANTS
Tracy saw a career-high 21 snaps on offense in the Giants’ 21-15 win over the Browns, carrying five times for 23 yards and snagging two passes for 17 yards. He also saw three snaps on special teams duty. He’ll look to continue growing his role when the Giants host the Cowboys on Thursday night.
CORY TRICE – PITTSBURGH STEELERS
Trice played one snap on defense and two on special teams before leaving the game with an apparent hamstring injury. His status remains unknown as the Steelers prepare to take on the Colts at 1 p.m. E.T. on Sunday.
