Of the 12 Purdue players on NFL active rosters, nine suited up for their teams in week five of the season. How did they perform? GoldandBlack.com takes a look in our weekly Purdue in the Pros roundup.

LB MARKUS BAILEY – CINCINNATI BENGALS

Bailey saw a single snap at linebacker in addition to his standard versatile role on special teams as the Bengals defeated Arizona 34-20. The Bengals needed the win badly, as a 1-3 start came as a major surprise. Now 2-3, Cincinnati will aim to return to the .500 mark when it hosts Seattle at 1 p.m. E.T. on Sunday.

LB DERRICK BARNES – DETROIT LIONS

Barnes started and played 45 of 71 snaps at linebacker in Detroit’s 42-24 win over Carolina. The third-year veteran recorded four tackles as the Lions improved to 4-1 on the young season. Detroit hits the road to take on Tampa Bay as it looks to continue its hot start.

WR DAVID BELL – CLEVELAND BROWNS

The Browns, 2-2, enjoyed their bye week over the weekend. Bell has caught three passes for 27 yards on the season thus far. Cleveland returns to the field this week to host the undefeated 49ers at 1 p.m. E.T.

LB JA’WHAUN BENTLEY – NEW ENGLAND PATRIOTS

The man in the middle of New England’s defense, Bentley started and played 56 of 72 snaps as the Patriots fell 34-0 to the Saints on Sunday. Bentley led New England with eight tackles, and he now sits atop the stat sheet, leading the 1-4 Patriots in tackling. They’ll hope to turn around their brutal start to the season when traveling to Las Vegas for a 4:05 p.m. E.T. kickoff next weekend.

TE PAYNE DURHAM – TAMPA BAY BUCCANEERS

The Buccaneers did not play in Week Five as they enjoyed a very early bye week. They’ll return to the field at home against Detroit at 4:25 p.m. E.T. as Durham still hopes to make his NFL debut after being on the inactive list for the first four weeks.

LB JALEN GRAHAM – SAN FRANCISCO 49ERS

Graham was inactive for the 49ers’ 42-10 win over Dallas on Sunday Night Football. Graham still awaits his NFL debut after inactivity for the season’s first five weeks. The 5-0 Niners look to stay red-hot as they travel to Cleveland for an early 1:00 p.m. E.T. kickoff on Sunday.

TE BRYCEN HOPKINS – LOS ANGELES RAMS

Hopkins played five snaps and did not record any stats in the Rams’ 23-14 loss against the Eagles on Sunday. He remains second on the depth chart behind star tight end Tyler Higbee, limiting snap opportunities. Los Angeles hosts Arizona on Sunday at 4:25 p.m. E.T. in a divisional showdown.

WR CHARLIE JONES – CINCINNATI BENGALS

Jones was placed on injured reserve due to a thumb injury. He will be eligible to return for the Bengals’ week eight trip to San Francisco.

DE GEORGE KARLAFTIS – KANSAS CITY CHIEFS

The second-year pass rusher started, playing 58 of 73 snaps as the Chiefs took down the Vikings 27-20 on Sunday to improve to 4-1. Karlaftis hurried the opposing quarterback three times and added a tackle as he continued his strong start to the season. The Chiefs face a quick turnaround as heavy favorites at home against Denver on Thursday Night Football.

WR RONDALE MOORE – ARIZONA CARDINALS

Moore played 38 of 57 offensive snaps. The speedster carried three times for 50 yards and caught three passes for 26 yards as the Cardinals fell 34-20 against Cleveland on Sunday afternoon. The 1-4 Cardinals will look to return to victory against the Rams at 4:25 p.m. E.T.

RB RAHEEM MOSTERT – MIAMI DOLPHINS

Mostert carried 10 times for 65 yards and a touchdown while tacking on a pair of receptions for 13 yards as the Dolphins took down the Giants 31-16 on Sunday. Through five games, Mostert sits tied with Christian McCaffrey for the league lead with seven touchdown runs. With a potential injury limiting the Dolphins’ other main running back DeVon Achane, it could be a big week for Mostert as the Dolphins host lowly Carolina on Sunday at 1:00 p.m. E.T.

QB AIDAN O’CONNELL – LAS VEGAS RAIDERS

Jimmy Garoppolo returned from his concussion, moving O’Connell back to the number three spot on the depth chart as he was inactive for the Raiders’ 17-13 win over the Packers on Monday Night Football. He’ll continue to battle veteran Brian Hoyer for the permanent backup job ahead of the Raiders’ 4:05 p.m. E.T. kickoff against New England on Sunday.
