Purdue’s list of portal commits grew tonight with a commitment from Georgia EDGE C.J. Madden, who hails from Ellenwood, Ga., and Cedar Grove High. He visited Purdue this weekend.

The 6-4, 230-pound Madden has three years of eligibility and is Purdue’s sixth portal commit. On Friday, Purdue landed another OLB in Boston College’s Shitta Sillah.

Madden played in one game in 2022–when he redshirted–and seven last season, making three tackles.

A former four-star prospect in 2022, Madden was unable to claim a role in Georgia’s rotation at EDGE during his time in Athens.
