Purdue lands commitment from 3-star Tennessee OLB DJ Allen
With signing day looming, Purdue has added a late piece to its 2024 class with a commitment from DJ Allen.
The Germantown, Tenn.–Memphis area–three-star OLB selected the Boilermakers over Louisville. He originally was committed to UCF before backing away from that pledge.

Allen is Purdue’s 22nd commitment in the Class of 2024. The first signing period begins December 20.
Allen, who plans to enroll in January, is slated to be on campus this weekend. He is the first OLB in the Boilermakers’ 2024 class and third recruit from Tennessee, joining S D’Mon Marable and RB Jaheim Merriweather.
“Purdue stayed with me from the beginning,” Allen told GoldandBlack.com earlier this week. “They stayed in touch. And once I de-committed (from UCF), they came right back to my door.”
In 2023, Allen had 17 sacks, 15 TFLs, three forced fumbles, a fumble recovery and 75 tackles.
“I’m just a hard worker, a dawg,” said Allen. “I think I can lead a team off my energy.”
