Purdue lands commitment from USC portal WR
Purdue has added an 11th commitment from the transfer portal: USC WR Charles Ross. He is the first receiver to commit from the portal. Ross has one year of eligibility.
The 6-1, 165-pound Ross caught just one pass for 11 yards in three games for the Trojans this past season.

Prior to 2024, he spent three seasons with San Jose State and one with Nevada, where he began his career in 2020. Ross caught 65 passes for 856 yards and four TDs at San Jose State and four for 37 at Nevada.
His best season: As a redshirt senior in 2023, he recorded 26 receptions for 347 yards (13.3 avg.) and 1 TD for the Spartans.
In 38 career college games, Ross has made 70 receptions for 904 yards (12.9 ypc) and four TDs.
Ross is a native of Culver City, Calif.
