Purdue No. 1 in AP poll
From unranked in the preseason to No. 1 in the nation, Purdue’s flight to the top of college basketball has been rapid this season.
The Boilermakers moved up three spots from their No. 4 ranking in the AP poll last week to No. 1 in the poll released on Monday. Purdue received 27 first-place votes from a 62-person media panel.
Purdue (10-0) already owns victories over the likes of Duke, Gonzaga, West Virginia and Marquette. It’s off to a 2-0 start in the Big Ten, taking down Minnesota and Nebraska in OT on Saturday in Lincoln.
