IOWA CITY — Another Big Ten road trip, another convincing win for second-ranked Purdue, which Iowa by as many as 19 in the second half Saturday before settling for a 84-70 win

Lance Jones‘ step-back three to beat the shot with 1:35 to play sealed Purdue’s win, the latest in his season of big shots.

Paced again by Zach Edey‘s reign of terror — 30 and 18 rebounds today — the Boilermakers won in Iowa City after having to absorb a Tony Perkins-fueled second half run. Perkins scored 24.

Purdue led by 13 at halftime, paced by Edey’s 16 points, Loyer’s 10 and a strong effort from its bench, notably tip-ins by Camden Heide and Caleb Furst and what amounted to a 4-0 run from Ethan Morton, all while Edey was on the bench. Jones scored 16.
