TORONTO — In Purdue’s wildest game of the season, the fourth-ranked Boilermakers rallied from being a dozen down in the first half to beat Alabama 92-86 in the Hall of Fame Series.

The Tide made 13-of-25 threes in the first half, only for Purdue to cling to them and keep within just two at half.

Led by Braden Smith, though, Purdue went on a three-point blitz of its own after halftime, leading a nine-point lead, which Alabama then erased.

But Zach Edey‘s three-point play followed ‘Bama taking that brief lead, one of the biggest plays of his 35-point homecoming.

Taking over late in the game, Smith finished with 27 and eight assists.
