Report: Purdue adds FCS Southern Illinois to 2025 football schedule
Purdue has added a home game vs. Southern Illinois to the 2025 football schedule, according to FBSchedules.com.
Purdue will play host to FCS Southern Illinois on Sept. 6, 2025. SIU will be paid $500,000 for playing the game, according to the report.
An opening on Purdue’s 2025 schedule occurred when its home game vs. UConn that season was moved to 2029.
Purdue will open the 2025 season at home vs. Ball State on Aug. 30 with SIU coming in the next week. The last non-conference game is at Notre Dame on Sept. 20.
Purdue and Southern Illinois’ only previous meeting was in 2014 in West Lafayette, with the Boilermakers beating the Salukis, 35-13.
