Purdue DB coach Charles Clark was on the Memphis staff in 2023 with Wright, who is the fourth former Tiger DB who played for Clark to transfer to Purdue joining CB Chalil Cummings, S Myles Slusher and S An’Darius Coffey.
The 6-1, 180-pound Wright, who played at Perry (Ga.) High, spent most of 2024 dealing with an injury. Wright was thought to be one of the team’s fastest players, but he never got the chance to showcase it.
