Purdue WR T.J. Sheffield has entered the portal

And so it begins.
Purdue has seen its first player enter the portal, with fifth-year senior WR T.J. Sheffield announcing today on social media he is transferring. As a grad transfer, he will have one year of eligibility.
Sheffield will leave Purdue having started 22 games and making 118 catches for 1,209 yards and 11 TDs. He arrived in West Lafayette in the Class of 2019.

The Thompson’s Station, Tenn., native made 32 catches for 381 yards and two TDs in 2023. His best season was 2022, when Sheffield made 46 receptions for 480 yards and four TDs.
Sheffield also was a primary return man during his tenure, running back 31 punts (8.5 avg.) and 24 kickoffs (15.5 avg.)
The portal is open from December 4-January 3, 2024.
