Top 2024 Indiana kicker Spencer Porath commits to Purdue
Purdue has a kicker, landing a commitment from 2024 Brownsburg (Ind.) product Spencer Porath on Wednesday. He is the Boilermakers’ third commitment in two days and second of the day.
Most recruiting services rate Porath as the No. 1 kicker in the state. He’s ranked No. 9 in the nation by Kohl’s Kicking Camps.
Porath had a preferred walk-on offer from Ohio State, in addition to offers from Indiana, Air Force and Army. He is the 12th commitment in Purdue’s 2024 class.
Porath excelled during a specialist camp at Purdue earlier this month, when he won “best kicker” honors after nailing 9-of-10 field-goal attempts.

Porath showed a booming leg on kickoffs at the camp. He even showed off his punting skills, which he’s expected to add to his arsenal at Brownburg High this season.
The 6-1, 185-pound Porath led the state with 60 touchbacks last season. He also booted five field goals with a long of 44 yards for the sectional champion Bulldogs.
On top of his work on the gridiron, Porath also is a key cog on a Brownsburg High hoops team that features Purdue commitment Kanon Catchings.
