2024 OL Graham Uter commits to SMU
2024 Daphne (Ala.) Bayside Academy offensive lineman Graham Uter committed to SMU, he announced on Instagram after his official visit.
Troy, UAB, Vanderbilt, Louisiana Lafayette, Texas State, West Florida, Virginia, Auburn, and a few others were also in contact with Uter as well before he announced for the Mustangs.
Offensive line coach Garin Justice connected with him well and said this spring that he was excited to recruit him when the Mustangs offered.
“He just told me that he needed someone like me at SMU and that he wanted to offer me,” Uter told On3 this spring. “I like that he is very easy to talk to and obviously knows a lot about football because I was able to sit in and watch the OL meeting and see what he had to say.”

SMU sees Uter as a prospect who they can develop over his college years and play him all over the offensive line.
“They want to put a little more weight on me, but still keep me lean,” he said. “They want me to be able to move the same as I do now and they see me as someone who can play all five positions on the offensive line. I like the plan.”
