4-star SMU commit Dramodd Odoms honored as Navy All-American
2025 Houston (Tex.) Lamar offensive tackle and SMU commit Dramodd Odoms was officially honored as a 2025 Navy All-American by America’s Navy and NBC Sports representatives during a live jersey presentation as part of the Road to the Dome tour.
According to the On3 Industry Ranking, a weighted average that utilizes all four major recruiting media companies. He’s the No. 127 overall prospect in America and the No. 12 offensive tackle prospect in the country.
Odoms will play in the annual East vs. West matchup inside the Alamodome in San Antonio, Texas at 1 p.m. ET on Saturday, January 11, 2025, live on NBC and Peacock, which marks the twenty-fifth anniversary of the event.
On3 national scout Cody Bellaire can see why the big offensive tackle is highly rated and that he could have a bright future as he cleans up pieces of his game. Oregon, Florida State, Tennessee, Michigan, Texas A&M, Missouri, Ole Miss, Arkansas and Nebraska among others also offered Odoms.
“I think there’s aspects of the game for him that he still needs some fine tuning and some development in, but physically and athletically, I saw him this summer at a school’s camp and the body type checks out,” Bellaire said. “Absolutely the athlete checks out. For me, it’s about the refinement of his technique and his development in really two areas for me, which would be spatial awareness and balance.

“The things that you can’t teach he has in terms of physicality and athleticism, you can’t teach that. He has those, but there’s certain parts of his game that I think he’s a little more raw in than we would like at this stage, but he still has plenty of football left to prove that he can learn those things and we’ll sort of see how his development unfolds.”
The Mustangs hosted him in June for an official visit as offensive line coach Garin Justice pushed for him to jump in the fold. Mississippi State and Purdue also hosted him, but the 6-6, 295-pound lineman enjoyed the feeling at SMU.
The nationwide Road to the Dome tour will honor 100 Navy All-Americans with live and virtual jersey presentations. The series will be released weekly through social platforms across NBC Sports.
