ACC Tournament: SMU vs. Syracuse how to watch, stream, spread

The SMU Mustangs make their first ever appearance in the ACC Tournament Wednesday night against Syracuse after the Orange beat Florida State Tuesday, 66-62.
With the matchup now set, SMU looks to go on a run in the ACC Tournament to maybe find a way to slither into the NCAA Tournament. Forward Matt Cross said this week with the fresh start, he’s confident in the Mustangs.
“I would say that we’re confident just because we’re pretty sure, any any team we play, if we play the way we’re supposed to play and we play hard, that we can compete and beat anybody in this league and in the country,” Cross said. “So I think just knowing that it’s kind of a reset. We don’t have all the worries of win this, lose this, standings and all that. Now it’s just like a fresh mind. Everybody’s on the same page. It’s just win. That’s all it matters. And I think that’s good for everybody’s (mentality), just worried about winning games now.”

In their first and only matchup this season, the Mustangs defeated Syracuse 77-75 at Moody Coliseum just last week. SMU stormed back from down 12 to take the first matchup. Syracuse standouts Eddie Lampkin, Jr. and Jyare Davis both feel like they have to show up for the full game this time around.
“For me we was just in a game with SMU. We let go,” Lampkin said. “Like I said earlier, we were playing for 36 minutes, 35 minutes. I feel like if we play for 40 minutes, we can beat anybody in this tournament. We always beat ourselves. That’s one thing — Coach was talking about transition. I don’t know how many transition points, but it wasn’t 16 like they did the first game. And we’ve got to take pride in that.”
“What Eddie said. I think we’ve got to continue to take pride on defense,” Davis added. “Coach talks about how it’s March and everybody thinks that the way to win games is playing hero ball and going to score the ball. In reality the way to win games is being tough and defending. So I think that we all listen to that and we’re all going to try to continue to do that.”
