SMU defensive coordinator Scott Symons and defensive back Brandon Crossley met with the media on Tuesday. Check out the videos below as the pair reviewed the 34-27 loss to Maryland while also looking ahead to Saturday’s matchup against TCU.
It’s inching closer to an official sellout for the 11 a.m. game inside Ford Stadium against the Horned Frogs. Crossley, who already has one win under his belt against TCU, is looking forward to his first home game in the rivalry.
“That’s amazing,” Crossley said. “I really can’t wait to see the environment and what the fans have in store for us, but it’s gonna be fun.”

Sonny Dykes leads TCU into the stadium where he coached the four seasons, bringing some familiarity with the SMU Mustangs to the table.
“I mean I’m sure he knows our guys, but he doesn’t know our coaching staff,” Symons said. “We’ve got a quality staff, and I think we’ve done a good job developing the guys that were here last year. I am sure there are some things that those guys will think our guys are susceptible to, but it’s our job to coach them and help them improve. They’ve got a good staff, and Garrett does a great job calling plays, and I’ve got a lot of respect for their staff.”
