DeSoto DB Jaden Milliner-Jones commits to SMU
SMU stayed red hot on the recruiting trail, landing 2023 DeSoto (Tex.) defensive back Jaden Milliner-Jones on Monday, he announced on Twitter.
Milliner-Jones named SMU his No. 1 school coming off his official visit this past weekend. The Mustangs impressed the 6-1, 190-pound safety in numerous ways.
“It was amazing,” Milliner-Jones told On The Pony Express. “Getting around the players and having fun. Understanding the scheme of the defense with Coach Naviar, and me seeing what I can bring to SMU in the future (stood out).”
“The relationship I have with them is like family. My parents are really for SMU, and they like what they’re doing,” he added. “Also, SMU is close to home, so I won’t have to really leave my family.”
According to the On3 Consensus, a complete and equally weighted industry-generated average that utilizes all four major recruiting media companies, Milliner-Jones ranks as the No. 86 overall safety in the nation and No. 167 overall prospect in Texas.
In addition to SMU and Memphis offers, Jaden Milliner-Jones holds Arkansas, Boston College, Georgia Tech, Minnesota, Mississippi State, North Texas, Texas State, Tulane and numerous other offers.
