BREAKING: Duncanville DB Lamodrick Spencer commits to SMU
Duncanville (Tex.) safety Lamodrick Spencer committed to SMU on Sunday, he announced on Twitter. The local prospect is high school commitment No. 17 for the Mustangs in the class of 2023.
The 6-1, 160-pound prospect holds other offers from Arkansas, Arizona, Georgia Tech, Kansas, Louisville and others. In 2021, he played cornerback as a junior for a Duncanville team that reached the Texas 6A D-I state title game. In 2022, the Panthers captured a state championship this time around.
According to the On3 Consensus, a complete and equally weighted industry-generated average that utilizes all four major recruiting media companies, Spencer ranks as the No. 131 overall safety in the nation and No. 225 overall prospect in Texas.
