In-state SMU commits all set for May official visit weekend
SMU will every in-state 2025 commit on campus for a huge official visit weekend May 17-19. The six committed Mustangs from Texas will be on campus to recruit for Rhett Lashlee & Co.
Four-star Duncanville (Tex.) quarterback Keelon Russell, four-star DeSoto (Tex.) wide receiver Daylon Singleton, three-star Duncanville (Tex.) defensive back Javion Holiday, three-star Duncanville (Tex.) safety Tyren Polley, three-star Arlington (Tex.) Mansfield Timberview defensive back Nathan Tilmon and three-star Bradenton (Fla.) IMG Academy defensive back Elijah Pratt will be on campus.
Russell committed to SMU in September and the Mustangs are hoping to hang onto the On3 Top 10 quarterback who has led Duncanville to back-to-back state titles. Russell swung through campus in January for a Junior Day visit.
According to the On3 Industry Ranking, a weighted average that utilizes all four major recruiting media companies, he’s the No. 111 overall prospect and No. 11 quarterback nationally.
Singleton is the No. 306 overall prospect, No. 43 wide receiver in the nation and No. 50 prospect in Texas. He holds offers from all over the country, including Auburn, Miami, Texas A&M and others.
