Live updates: SMU vs. No. 10 Clemson
Following SMU‘s 73-53 win over Syracuse on Wednesday night, the Mustangs are set to face the Clemson Tigers in the quarterfinals of the ACC tournament tonight at 8:30 pm (CT).
Final: Clemson beats SMU, 57-54
03/13/2025 10:58:37 PMMustangs lose in heartbreaking fashion after the game falls in the hands of the referees. SMU fought until the final whistle. The Mustangs went cold at the end of the game. They did not make a field goal in the final 6:14 of regulation. Chase Hunter finished with 21 points, including the final point to seal the win for the Tigers. SMU will now look to be a top seed in the NIT with its March Madness hopes crushed.

03/13/2025 10:31:08 PMThis game is physical and a true dog fight. BJ Edwards will go to the line to shoot a one-and-one on the other side of the tv timeout. Lakhin and Cross both recently checked back into the game with four fouls each. Each possession feels more important as the game goes on. Clemson leads by one with 3:57 remaining.
Under-8: SMU 47 – Clemson 43
03/13/2025 10:17:32 PMMatt Cross is having an excellent game, but picked up his fourth foul while guarding Ian Schieffelin. On the flipside, Clemson’s Lakhin also picked up his fourth foul on a heads-up play by Boopie Miller. The Mustangs are right in this game. Other than Matt Cross, the Mustangs are in a good spot in terms of foul trouble. This game will go down to the wire, as have many of the other ACC tournament games so far.
Under-12: SMU 39 – Clemson 38
03/13/2025 10:14:11 PMSMU is hanging on with 11:52 remaining in the second half. The Mustangs have gone cold from the field, missing their last six shots. SMU is looking to keep its March Madness hopes alive with a win. It looks like the ACC tournament will produce yet another tight finish.
Under-16: SMU 37 – Clemson 33
03/13/2025 09:54:49 PMSMU came out of the half strong! The Mustangs continue to play great defense while they start to get the offense going. Chuck Harris has eight points and Matt Cross has seven points as the Mustangs are starting to heat up. The Mustangs came out of the gates in the second half and put up 10 compared to Clemson’s five. SMU up by four with 15:48 left in the half.
Halftime: Clemson 28 – SMU 27
03/13/2025 09:30:31 PMSMU closes out the half well and only trails by three. Clemson is really struggling offensively and allowing the Mustangs to hang around. Boopie Miller scored a layup in the final seconds of the half to cut the lead down to one. SMU still has not scored a three-point shot yet, but remain right in the game due to their defense.
Under-4: Clemson 24 – SMU 19

The Mustangs are battling hard against Clemson and are in the game. They still have not made a three point shot so far. The Mustangs trail by five with 3:15 remaining in the first half.

The Mustangs need to find a way to create separation and find open looks. It’s only a matter of time before Clemson starts to knock down more shots. Boopie Miller leads the Mustangs with four points so far.
Under-12: Clemson 10 – SMU 6

SMU is waiting until the final few seconds of the shot clock to shoot and the players are settling for low-percentage, highly-contested shots. SMU committed seven turnovers in the opening eight minutes of the game.
Under-16: Clemson 9 – SMU 4
