Louisiana Tech WR commit John Simon locked in with Bulldogs
2024 Shreveport (La.) Calvary Baptist wide receiver John Simon is one of the top wideouts in Louisiana. Louisiana Tech snagged a commitment in March from the North Louisiana standout and has held onto it ever since.
“Recruiting’s going good. I give it to coach Brown at Tech,” Simon told On3. “He showed countless love every day and when I was up there. I’m happy with my decision and ready to be at Tech. My dad’s alma mater, I love it.”
With offensive coordinator Scott Brown, running backs coach Teddy Veal and graduate assistant Tyler Kelley, the Bulldogs have a built a strong relationship. Simon loves what Sonny Cumbie is building in Ruston.
“I like what he’s doing there,” he said. “He’s changing the offense and he’s really trying to build a winning program. Coach (Scott) Brown, Teddy Veal and TK (graduate assistant Tyler Kelley) are just showing love.”

Simon eyeing state championship run
