SMU’s latest additions show recruiting on the rise
2024 Dallas (Texas) South Oak Cliff four-star athlete Jamyri Cauley committed to SMU, he announced on Twitter on Monday. Cauley is the No. 131 overall prospect and No. 11 athlete in the 2024 cycle, according to the On3 Consensus, a complete and equally weighted industry-generated average that utilizes all four major recruiting media companies.

The 6-foot-1, 210-pound Cauley holds numerous Power Five offers, including Texas A&M, which offered late last month, Georgia, Mississippi State, Texas, TCU and others.
SMU landed graduate transfer and Miami offensive lineman Jakai Clark, who committed to the Mustangs, he announced. Clark was on campus in January for an official visit on the Hilltop. LSU, Missouri, West Virginia and others were also vying for Clark, a 39-game starter for the Hurricanes.
