Roderick Daniels on where his selfless nature comes from for SMU's offense, big game at Duke
SMU WR Roderick Daniels was dynamic for the Mustangs against Duke. RDJ caught two passes for over 150 yards and a touchdown. Daniels broke down his performance, being back at home, and more during his press conference on Wednesday.
When asked about switching back to receiver after Jake Bailey went down, Roderick Daniels said, “I hadn’t practiced at receiver, so I was at running back mainly all week. But I pay attention to the receivers during practice… When I’m at running back, I’m all the way at running back. When I’m at receiver, I’m all the way at receiver.”
When RDJ talked about his two explosive plays for SMU, Daniels said, “The [first] play was just a sniper, I broke the safety tackle in the middle, but I got caught. That wasn’t good. But it was a big play though. On [Kevin’s] scramble, it was kind of the same thing. Instead of just doing a sniper, we just did a double move and made it a go route and I won that route. It was fun to receive last week.”
