“It’s day-to-day now. We’re not sure, day-to-day,” Enfield said of Miller’s status. “Very disappointing for everybody, especially Boopie. We won five games in a row and playing very well. We already had Yohan Traore out and then to have Boopie injure his foot was very bad timing for everybody, including Boopie, who really wanted to play against Wake Forest, his prior team. More so than that just because the team has been playing so well. He felt terribly about missing the game, but it was the right decision, and hopefully we can get them back soon.”
If the Mustangs don’t get Miller back in action, the Mustangs will need more out of 7-footer Samet Yigitoglu.
“We have to do a better job of getting the ball inside,” Enfield said. “Samet, we have to get him the ball. He has to do a better job of sealing and demanding the ball in the paint. So we have to have a better balance of inside outside. especially without Boopie. He does create a lot. He’s our leading scorer and leads us in assists. So in his pace of play, we have to be more focused on how fast we play, because he’s naturally just very fast with the basketball. We’re at our best when he’s pushing the pace and everybody is running with him and spreading the floor and trying to get a quick early action to create a good shot. Without him, we have to be more focused on creating a pace because he does it so naturally.”
