The Mustangs shot the ball the worst all season and paid the price. SMU moves to 11-4 (2-2) on the season. They will host the Georgia Tech Yellow Jackets on January 11 at Moody Coliseum at 3:00 p.m. CT.
SMU can’t get into a rhythm offensively

SMU’s struggles continue in second half

They also seemed flustered on defense in stretches in the first half. As a result, the Mustangs trail by a large margin at the end of the first half and need to regroup ahead of the final 20 minutes in Chapel Hill.
UNC leads by 10

SMU continues to struggle offensively

Rough start for the Mustangs
01/07/2025 08:08:21 PMSimilar to the Duke game just a few days ago, the Mustangs struggle shooting the ball in the first few minutes and are getting caught in transition defensively. North Carolina started the game on a 6-0 run until BJ Edwards made a layup. But after the rough first four minutes, SMU scored six in a row to cut into the UNC lead. Tar Heels lead 8-6 with 15:24 left in the first half.
