SMU Basketball cemented its perfect home record at Moody Coliseum on Sunday afternoon, defeating the Tulane Green Wave 74-68 to move to 22-7 overall and 13-4 in AAC play.

Despite trailing at the half for a third consecutive game, the Mustangs were able to hang around thanks an early barrage of three pointers, which kept the Mustangs in striking distance during the Green Wave’s first half run.

Experience proves to be key for Mustangs

In what was the last regular season home game at Moody Coliseum for SMU’s seven seniors, their contributions proved to be vital tonight.

Kendric Davis lead the way for the Mustangs this afternoon, scoring 19 points on 7-of-11 shooting from the floor and 4-of-6 from beyond the arc. Davis also chipped in with a single rebound and 4 assists as well as taking a huge charge with 3:24 left in the second half that stopped a Tulane run.

Emmanuel Bandoumel had one of his best games of the year, chipping in with 18 points on 6-of-15 shooting from the floor and 4-of-12 from three-point land. Bandoumel also grabbed four rebounds and dished out three assists and hit two key free throws with 50.1 seconds left as SMU was able to pull away.
