SMU improves to 3-0 with 78-67 win over Lamar
DALLAS — — Chuck Harris had 18 points in SMU’s 78-67 win against Lamar on Thursday night.
Harris was 4 of 9 shooting, including 1 for 4 from 3-point range, and went 9 for 9 from the line for the Mustangs (3-0). Tyreek Smith added 13 points while shooting 3 of 4 from the field and 7 for 9 from the line, and he also had seven rebounds and four blocks. Emory Lanier had 11 points and was 3 of 5 shooting (3 for 4 from 3-point range).
Cody Pennebaker led the way for the Cardinals (1-1) with 13 points and seven rebounds. Chris Pryor added 10 points for Lamar. Ja’Sean Jackson also put up nine points and two steals.
