SMU DB Kevaris Hall to enter NCAA Transfer Portal
SMU defensive back Kevaris Hall will enter the NCAA Transfer Portal once he graduates this spring, he announced on Twitter on Tuesday. He played two seasons for the Mustangs, appearing in 18 contests.
Hall, a former Tulane transfer, will have two seasons of eligibility remaining at his next stop. He made 10 tackles and four pass breakups over two seasons.
Before getting injured at Tulane in 2021, resulting in a redshirt, he played in nine games during the 2020 season. Hall made seven tackles, a tackle for loss and an interception.
“First, I want to thank God for allowing me to play the game at a level,” Hall wrote. “I want to thank my family for always supporting me in my accomplishments. I also want to thank SMU and the coaching staff for allowing me to play and become a graduate at such a prestigious university.
“With that being said, I’m off to my next chapter and will enter the Transfer Portal in April with two years of eligibility left as a graduate transfer.”
According to the On3 Industry Ranking, a weighted average that utilizes all four major recruiting media companies, Hall was the No. 139 overall cornerback and no. 179 overall prospect in Texas for the 2020 recruiting class.
