SMU’s 2025 class sits in historic standing as On3 rewarded Rhett Lashlee & Co. with three On300 recruits in the final rankings released Thursday. That’s a program record for the Mustangs.

Four-star offensive tackle Dramodd Odoms is now SMU’s highest-ranked prospect, per On3. The Houston (Tex.) Lamar standout moved all the way up to the No. 43 overall prospect in the country, making him the No. 7 overall offensive tackle. Odoms was named a five-star by 247Sports on Wednesday. Now, he’s a Top 100 prospect for the On3 Industry Ranking, a weighted average that utilizes all four major recruiting media companies, as well.

Odoms’ rise was helped by his dominant showing at the Navy All-American Bowl in January. His incredible upside was complemented by a terrific performance, which could help him factor in early at SMU. He’s now the No. 61 overall prospect and No. 9 offensive tackle on the On3 Industry Ranking.

“Dramodd Odoms was a prospect whose senior film left us with more questions than answers,” On3 national scout Cody Bellaire wrote. “He has always had elite length and a projectable frame for the tackle position. Odoms was able to add significant mass to his frame while still retaining his functional athleticism in the summer prior to his senior season. However, on his senior film we had concerns in regards to his ability to maintain balance in pass protection and refraining from waist-bender tendencies in the run game. Odoms put most of those concerns to bed, during the week of the Navy All-American Bowl.

“He showed violence at the point of attack and improvement in his lower body technique during the competition periods. The SMU signee showed that he could stay square while taking advantage of his length to strike pass rushers. During the inside run and team periods we saw Odoms flip the switch in the run game and turn into a finisher. He was driving defenders off the ball and playing clear through the whistle, serving up pancakes left and right. We saw Odoms go from hopeful dancing bear into a full on grizzly of a tackle prospect.”

On3 also moved Cibolo (Tex.) Steele wide receiver Jalen Cooper up into the Top 100, giving the Mustangs two Top 100 prospects for On3 for the first time as well. The early enrollee for SMU moved from just outside the Top 100 to the No. 94 overall prospect in the country. On3 is the highest on him out of the four major recruiting services, putting him as the 15th-best wideout with a 95 grade.

A big mover once again was four-star Conroe (Tex.) running back Dramekco Green, who moved up into the On300 after being named a four-star by On3 this fall. That move gave the Mustangs another On300 prospect as On3 is the only recruiting service to have him as a four-star prospect. Green’s expected to compete right away in SMU’s backfield when he arrives this summer. He’s ranked on On3 as the No. 241 overall prospect, No. 16 running back in the country and No. 35 prospect in Texas. On the On3 Industry Ranking, he’s now a four-star as well, coming in as the No. 353 overall prospect, No. 25 running back and No. 48 prospect in Texas.
